The Haiti Relief Fund launched Project Dialysis Haiti to save lives by improving access to dialysis treatment across the country. In Haiti, the vast majority of patients suffering from End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) are unable to access or sustain life-saving hemodialysis due to limited resources and infrastructure.
To date, Haiti Relief Fund has raised approximately $19,000, with an additional $11,000 needed to allow Bridge of Life to begin the specialized training process. The remaining funds will be used to cover one year of operational costs for the dialysis program.
To address this critical healthcare gap, Haiti Relief Fund has partnered with Bridge of Life and Hospital Sodeth to implement Project Dialysis Haiti. This collaboration combines medical expertise, training, and infrastructure support to establish a sustainable dialysis program that can serve patients in need.
Project Dialysis Haiti is currently on hold due to the combined challenges of COVID-19 and ongoing unrest in Haiti. At this time, it is not possible to deploy the specialized engineering staff required to install the dialysis system or to receive on-site support from Bridge of Life, the donor of the dialysis equipment designated for Hospital Sodeth.
Haiti Relief Fund remains committed to resuming Project Dialysis Haiti as soon as conditions allow and continues to work toward expanding access to critical, life-saving healthcare services for the people of Haiti.
Our mission is to provide emergency relief, medical support, housing, education, and sustainable development for families in need.
