Protecting Communities Through Early Action

On June 20, 2016, the Haiti Relief Fund continued its cholera prevention efforts by working directly with vulnerable communities to reduce the risk of infection and protect public health. This initiative focused on prevention as the most effective tool in saving lives.

Education, Clean Water, and Sanitation

During this effort, teams distributed clean water supplies, sanitation materials, and cholera prevention kits. Community members were also educated on proper hygiene practices, safe water handling, and recognizing early symptoms of cholera to ensure timely treatment.

Building Healthier, Stronger Communities

Cholera prevention initiatives like this one are a vital part of Haiti Relief Fund’s long-term commitment to public health and community resilience. Through education, outreach, and consistent action, we continue working toward a healthier and safer future for the people of Haiti.
